Berets & Bows (Pulling Prints Accessories)

While on the Pulling Prints course, I wanted to incorporate my fashion & textile background with my newfound print skills and the history of Sudbury. When sorting through a few boxes with a staff member, we found silk samples from when they built the extension to decorate one of the galleries with. I took these samples back to the print studio and cracked on with creating a 'weave' inspired pattern in a mono-print silk-screen. These newly printed fabrics were then cut up and sewn into a beret and the scraps into a bow to utilise every spare inch and waste as little as possible.
