Divine & Conquer- Final year collection

Divine & Conquer is about my experience growing up as the eldest child, taking influences from pivotal moments in my life, including my health, spirituality and my schooling. The collection channels the conflicting feelings from my influences, including a nod to being told I was “The wrong type of artist” at age 12 by my art teacher. I was studying Monet’s Bridge over a pond of waterlilies at the time, so the art piece itself, and paint brush strokes have been used to define this moment. The flames are representative of the desire and rage that my influences gave me. The collection utilised fabrics that I really enjoyed working with, or wanted to push my skills with before graduation, including Denim & Leather.
